Language Blocks

Inserting a language block will provide an area for an alternative translation of the document content. A hyperlink will also need to be added in the page template to switch to the required language version, and turn the duplicate content off.

Steps to insert a language block:

  1. Select the 'Insert' option from the menu bar at the top of the editor window. A drop-down menu will appear.
  2. Select 'LANGUAGE BLOCK' to open 'INSERT LANGUAGE BLOCK' dialog window (above image).
  3. Select the required language from the available drop-down box.
  4. Enter alternative translation following the 'Enter language content here...' prompt that has appeared in your document.
  5. Insert a standard hyperlink to select version.
  6. In the link URL box enter the following syntax:

'?LANG=the language used'

for example:

'?LANG=french'
